Kindness

I have failed all too often at this, sadly. But, like the writer of this post, my own personal experience of pain has taught me the inestimable value of a kind word, and does make me cringe inwardly at the thought of causing someone else’s pain to be greater than what life has already dealt them. Ian MacLaren is credited with saying, "Be kind. Everyone you meet is fighting a battle you know nothing about."
